Clipboard Restriction allows you to control how users copy and paste content within the browser. This helps prevent sensitive data from being copied out or pasted into unauthorized websites or applications.
There are two lists you can use:
1. Blocked List
This list allows you to restrict clipboard actions on specific websites.
You can:
- Choose what actions to block: Cut, Copy, Paste, or All.
- Add the URLs where these restrictions should apply.
- Select the user groups you want to enforce this on.
2. Exceptions List
This lets you allow clipboard access on certain websites even if they’re part of the Blocked List.
- Choose which actions to allow.
- Add the URL(s) and assign to user groups.
- Select the user groups you want to enforce this on.
Example:
- If you want to block users from copying or pasting anything on internal.company.com, you can add it to the Blocked List and disable "Copy" and "Paste."
- But if you want to still allow copy-paste on a subdomain like help.internal.company.com, you can add that to the Exceptions List and enable those actions.
