How to Fix the 'Virus Scan Failed' Error in Ulaa When Downloading Files ?
When downloading files in Ulaa, you may encounter an error message: "Virus scan failed". This
issue is typically caused by antivirus scanning conflicts. As a workaround, you can modify the
Windows Registry to resolve the issue. Please follow the steps carefully.
Important: Modifying the Windows Registry incorrectly can cause serious problems.
Proceed with caution and follow the instructions exactly. If you are not confident, please contact support.
Steps to Apply the Workaround:
1. Open Registry Editor: Press Start, type regedit.exe, and press Enter.
2. Navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments.
3. Double-click on ScanWithAntiVirus, you will get this popup as mentioned in the screenshot below:
1. Open Registry Editor: Press Start, type regedit.exe, and press Enter.
2. Navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments.
3. Double-click on ScanWithAntiVirus, you will get this popup as mentioned in the screenshot below:
4. In the Value data box, delete the number 3, enter 1, and then click OK.
5. Exit Registry Editor.
6. Log off and log back into Windows to apply the changes.
7. Retry downloading the file in Ulaa.
Note: This issue is not specific to Ulaa. It can occur in scenarios such as when Windows is not activated or when the antivirus program on the system is not functioning properly.
